  Unfortunately I've been taken advantage of by this company. I called to have someone come out on Friday to fix my AC. Young man showed up(one of Tom's neoghbors) who admitted he really doesn't do calls alone and that he can't diagnose anything on his own. He did a few things over the phone with Tom and basically left saying well hopefully it will work now. So Friday night I called Tom because nothing was fixed it was still 84 in the house and he was at a loss. He had no idea what could be wrong with my unit (that I had paid them to install only 14 month ago). So after sending him more pictures and chatting for a bit I was told, "he has been diagnosing units over the phone for years and everything sounds fine." I couldn't understand how everything sounded fine because my house was 84 degrees. Anyways I was told to watch for a few things and call back if things didn't change. Well Saturday, here we were 84 degree in the house and Tom said no one could make it out till Sunday so I said ok I'll wait it out one more day. Tom said he himself would come out Sunday but had no time estimate and that he would call in the am. I called at him at 11 and left a message and waited an hr at noon it's 85 in the house and still had no call back..... So we called a different company out to find this "unknown" problem that wasn't diagnosed over the phone. Within literally 2 minutes the guy says your unit is froze over, like the pipe outside even had ice on it. So he left, said it would have to defrost before he could figure anything else out. Once he came back within 5 minutes he showed me that the refrigerate was leaking outside(like there was a puddle of it) He continued to tell me the unit is missing parts and it was a very poor job. That he hasn't seen some of the parts(rigging) used on my unit in the 30 years he's been doing this and basically that I really got taken advantage of on this poor install. So he fixed what he could but said he couldn't even warranty the part he fixed because of the poor install job. However we are here now and the AC is running great. Aside from the poor install the AC man also told me that the return seal job was done backwards that they put the wrong side of the board facing out... Now I'm wondering what I would see up in the attic on the work done up there. Aside from that I didn't realize Florida Mastertemp prices are higher than a few other companies I called and you would think with higher prices I would have had a true tech come out... I'm not even going to go into the actual install and work done a year ago because that's a whole joke in its self. I wanted to trust these guys but should have went off my gut instinct especially after the first time. So now I've got to figure out where to go from here to get this unit I'm proper running shape.
